Ever wondered what roasted penguin taste like?

There are so many of them and they move slow.    We can just net them on land or trawl for them from fishing boats.    It seems an untapped natural commodity if we can just convince people they are every bit as delicious as say wild ducks.  I see big potential with todays foodie hipsters.

Just look how much meat is on these things! An entire village could eat like kings for year in this one picture.

I googled and this is the description of someone who eat it.

    http://ask.metafilter.com/53331/What-do-penguins-taste-like

'It is rather difficult to describe its taste and appearance; we have absolutely no meat with which to compare it. The penguin, as an animal, seems to be made up of an equal proportion of a mammal, fish, and fowl. If it is possible to imagine a piece of beef, an odriferous codfish, and a canvas-back duck, roasted in a pot, with blood and cod-liver oil for sauce, the illustration will be complete.'

  • Lmao!  I like the way you think.  Living in Florida we seem to have an abundance of manatee.  They're fat river cows basically, just floating along eating weeds off the bottom.  I've often wondered what they would taste like.  I think Cartman (Southpark) did a bit on this but about dolphins.  Dolphin with mayo and mustard on rye.
