That because they are in early 30's and never dated, no one would really want to date them? That because 'they' had felt tainted, that guys would see them that way and distance themselves?
I'd say that how you feel about yourself is definitely visible to others. If you don't see yourself as valuable and likeable, neither will anyone else.
