The same people who are complaining about it now tend to be the same people that thought they were great at first for giving them affordable rides. People these days don't want to accept trade-offs and are enraged when they realize something isn't all milk and honey.
We have no Uber in this here small town. I would not use it because I have a car and I would not wish to take work away from the established taxi service here. Their pickings are kinda slim.
I have never used it. Several people in my office use it because they are more available than regular taxicabs at certain times and they are less expensive than other car services.
