Is it normal to have a bruise after pneumonia shot?

My sister had pneumonia shot 2 days ago, very red after, very sore... now a slight bruise in area.... is it normal? People have told her the pink area and soreness is normal, but this is new today.. any tips /idea welcome

  • It's normal but bruising should still be reported to the doctor.

    Are you a hypochondriac or something?

    Of course.  They are sticking a needle into your bloodstream.  Blood causes bruising and most everyone gets a bruise at one time or another.  What is the big deal?

    probably since ive gotten bruised after getting blood taken, she should ask her doctor , also, if you ask this on healthtap.com a real doctor will email you back
