How much money does the internet cost you every month?

This includes hardware, software, ISP fees, "subscriptions" fees, electricity, emotional toll, etc.

There is no way I can turn that into a single measurement. Sorry.

Remember land lines?  That is phone, the best kind of phone, and has nothing to do with internet.    We don't all have iphones you know?  ;)

I found an internet company that offers high speed, unlimited service way out here in the country. They are a local business. It costs $49. a month. I had to provide a 25 foot tall tower. It is made of chain-link fence top rail with guide cables.

About $330/month for a T1. No other options except for satellite, which sucks.

Mobile phone includes 3 gig/month along with the unlimited texting and calls. Have never come close to exceeding that even when I use it as WiFi hotspot for my laptop and Android tablet. Unfortunately I have no cell service at the T1 service location so I even have to use that T1 connection for cellphone service when I'm there.

  • I would estimate approximately $80-$100. Unfortunately, I need internet for work. Not sure about the emotional toll except when the kids are gaming and sucking all the bandwidth. Might be time to upgrade from 15mbs to 20.

    $40 DSL
    $10 Netflix
    $50

It was $70 but I canceled Sling.  I'll resubscribe in August for football season.

  • I pay $A50/month for combined internet and telephone, but that includes unlimited phone calls right across Ausralia, including all mobiles. Call it $20 for the Internet alone.
    Electricity is negligible.
Hardware: $700 for my HP more than 3 years ago and expect it to last another 2 years. that's less than $12/month.
    Only one subscription: Chess.com $4/month.
    Total: $36/month.

    Now your intangible, emotional toll.
This is where even that $36 erodes away because it includes the greater part of my entertainment. I can download as many eBooks and Audio Books for various libraries and that's all free.
I no longer have to write letters to pay bills but do all my banking on line. There are savings there in postage stamps and envelopes, petrol, and time.
I am able to get the daily news from reliable sources all around the world rather than relying on the judgment of some TV producer who is more interested in advertising revenue than accuracy.
And on, and on, and on.

By and large I'd say that I finish in front financially.

I have unlimited data included on my phone plan, and I only pay $56.50 a month (tax incl). Other than that, one of my roommates has unlimited Internet that he lets us use.

I pay $35.00 / month for unlimited talk and text and 2GB of data per month on my smartphone.  My husband pays our home internet bill which is $124.95 / month for 100 Mbps.
