There are people who illegally emigrate into Mexico, some of them from the Mexico-Guatemala border, others from the United States, and still others from the west (Pacific) and east (Gulf of Mexico) coastlines or at airports.
Just like many other countries, Mexico has immigration laws, and some people circumvent those laws. If and when the Mexican government takes steps to enforce those laws, it uses some of the exact same tactics and strategies that many other countries use.

Al, I live not far of the southern border of the US that is shares with Mexico. It is a fact that there are many "1st-worlders" who live in Mexico, some of them legally and some of them illegally. Just because you personally have never heard of it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Cause in Mexico, they're not too much interested in the legality of your situation.. They're much more interested in bribes.. Mexico is SOOO much easier to navigate than the US is.

If you thought THAT was stereotyping, you'll really enjoy this one.. In Mexico their much more honest about their bribes.. Here in the US, they couch their bribes in "contributions".. But, the mordida, the vig, the bite, the tax, - WHATEVER you want to call it, is all the same the world over..
