This question is kind of an off shoot of another on the theme of what's been called Breastaurants.
Im sure we are all familiar with the concept having scantily dressed young women serving food and drinks to a mostly male clientele.
Do you see no problem with them? It's all in good fun. Men go in there to have a.beer and something light to eat and in the mean time get to look at and talk to a pretty girl. What's the.problem with that?
The guys look like they're having fun, the girls are having fun and they are making money.
They are empowered young women who are free to choose how to earn a living and at the end it is their body to show. Their business.
Isn't that the same thing everybody else does anyway, when they hire pretty girls to be.waitresses at high class restaurants?
Everybody should just relax it is not new or a big deal.
Or...
Is this just another example of a situation in which women are valued according to the way they look and how much they accommodate themselves to their male customers? Is it just a place for men to feel free to stare and make comments in a way that otherwise or in a different place would be behaviour frowned upon?
Having them present themselves like that immediately shows them as objects.
It is denigrating towards and exploits women, excuses adolescent behaviour in men, and it's hardly an example neither for girl nor boys.
