If humans could hibernate like bears, would you want to?

What if we could mini hibernate, say, when stuck with boring people, could we do it without snoring?

  • I would prefer to snore! Serves them right for being boring! Yeah, I would like some much needed sleep. Been working hard at night and not getting enough. Yeah, I'd much rather snore to irritate them for being so boring.

  • I was asleep on the train one morning and woke to the sound of somebody snoring. I looked around to see who it was and everybody was looking right at me. 

    When you wake yourself with your own snoring, it's pretty bad.

    well I think when we are injected anesthesia during a surgery or procedure..we must be mini hibernating as you put it,Didge!

  • Interesting idea. Very short hibernation, though, Veena. Last time I went under the anaesthetist said, "We're just starting now." And then she said, "You're all finished." And I said, "Huh?" I hadn't even been aware of sleeping yet I'd been out for 45 minutes. Felt good, though.

    Oh,I had a very painful experience Didge, the anesthetist gave the injection to a trainee and she struggled to do it right,I screamed witn pain;((

  • That depends....if the place I'm at is cold and snowy, heck yeah, I wanna hibernated! If it's warm or even cool and sunny....nope, I'll stay awake!

  • I can remember mornings like that when I was younger. Now I always wake between 4 and 6 am. Anything after that is pure luxury. :)
