Randy D sad. Muchly sad
~
Yes, it makes me wonder. It is actually quite sad.
Oh honestly I don't care how someone writes a sentence. I got way to much in my life going on that I don't nor do I feel the need to proof read & critique others. This is my personal & honest opinion.
Being a teacher for twenty years I have noticed it. Children learn to talk like their parents and peers and many seem to write like they talk...as if anyone can understand them. I don't blame the teachers directly; they are responsible for correcting those errors, but many children don't care and don't realize that their future success relies on their ability to communicate both verbally and in their writings.
(pronouns)
The person reading your job resume' might care.
Shakespeare thinks the same thing about the way you talk. Oh, that's right, HE'S DEAD.
All great writers have editors. The people with real intelligence come up with new ideas and ways of expressing themselves and the human condition. Tiny, small-minded people with no real skills are left to know when to use a semicolon instead of a colon.
I dare you.
I DARE you.
LOL
Don't even.
It's like people don't even know the right time to use "take" versus "bring" anymore. Sheesh.
I have never needed an editor. I told an astronomy professor who assigned a ten page treatis don't do drafts. I got an A.
Yes. I just spent a week with my 11 year old granddaughter who, as far as I noticed, never made one single grammatical error in her speech. I'm sure her writing measures up to the same standard. I'll admit she loves to read and that's a big plus, but there just is no excuse for the way Americans have become bumbling idiots with a pen or keyboard. It's even bad in printed media too.
it does make me wonder especially when i see adults that can hardly read sometimes
Thank you.
~
Thank you.
~
Thank you, and I corrected the error.
Why do you use an ellipses?
~
Hey, wait . . .
~
Thank you.

Yes, thank you dear. The colon/semi key, the underline/dash key, and the 5/% key are all working sporadically. That changes weekly but there are always a few not working correctly. I've been waiting until I found a new desk to buy a new laptop. Desk is here and new laptop is on the way.
There have always been many people with poor literacy who didn't get spelling, punctuation, etc. They just didn't have online forums to display it. They were considered working class and no-one expected too much of them.
I have trouble with punctuation and run on sentences. Except for the occasional typo, my structure and grammar are halfway decent. Believe it or not, English was my best subject in school but some aspects of it just didn't click.

Very true!
