Do you ever have to consciously stop yourself from committing a non-traffic related crime?

This has become a frequent struggle for me. Every time I see a confederate flag (which is sadly way too often, now) I have an overwhelming urge to stop my car, hop out and rip it to shreds. I know that it's wrong, and so far I've managed to control myself, but one of these days, I swear I'm gonna do it!

  • Well, no. But back in the 1980s the raiway unions in my state were controlled by a maverick state secretaru who kept calling strikes with little or no notice. It went on, frequently, for two or three years. I wanted to be there the night the riot started and, believe me, I wanted to break some laws. And some heads.

I do feel like vandalising all of the political posters that go up a month before each election.

I've driven past homes and outbuildings where people have painted the word "Trump" in letters that are nearly large enough to be seen from space! Hilarious!

Confederate flags are a sign of freedom in the United States.  I have lived near homes with confederate flags out front. Not always the best neighbors, but they are free.

Personally, I would love to see the display of the confederate flag outlawed in the US (as Germany did with the swastika). While the swastika was once viewed as a symbol of peace, harmony and good luck, Hitler and the Nazis changed that forever. Similarly, while the confederate flag may have once been seen as something other than a symbol of intolerance and racism, in today's United States that IS exactly what it represents, despite what racists and their sympathizers say.
