I trust you're talking about the one you already have in your life Star! It's good that you're happy. I'm happy for you! Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday. I'd run off with my Jim too but I don't need to. We already share our lives 24/7! :)

No way it took me 60 years to build up all the good people I know and to obtain every thing I have. So I would be a fool to leave it all behind for some Johnny or Jamie come lately. Cheers!

I can't grasp how anyone could do that Nanoose. I just can't. Too many memories with too many people over too many years. I mean unless your life is at stake and the Feds put you in the Witness Protection Program I just can't relate to anyone who could or would do that willingly. Different strokes! Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday! :)

Plus which it would be as if all those years were lived for nothing. I couldn't do it. I wouldn't do it unless my life depended it.  Thank you for your reply Ele and Happy Monday! :)

After my mom and dad pass on, that's exactly what I'm going to do. Except that I'll be escaping with myself.

Are your parents ill Zack?  Are they in declining health? What about your friends?  Would you find it that easy to abandon them and cut ties with them to move on and live a different life?  I couldn't do that unless the Feds put me in witness protection program to save my life. Even then I don't know how well I could pull it off. Thank you for your reply! :)

  • There was a time when I would have, someone I would have... we agreed on a plan.. I stuck to my side, he didn't.. and I very nearly lost everything, (we aren't talking money here) and I did lose a lot as it was, and it was a very long, very dark period for me...

Very sorry to hear that my friend. Experiencing something like that changes you in ways you may not have wished. But you're a survivor and survivors just get up and move on. Maybe we walk a bit slower and maybe we are a little more cautious. Life is good. No matter what it throws at you keep on truckin'! Thank you for your reply! :)

As I said on this thread to other respondents only if my life were in jeopardy and the Feds put me in a witness protection program. Otherwise I can't see any circumstance where I would willingly do that. It is such a big gamble! Thank you for your reply  MaCC! :)

Hi Rosie.  At this moment we are on a road trip through North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky visiting relatives and camping.  In April we leave for six weeks in Ecuador.  Finally we've just about wrapped up plans for a trip to Scandinavia this summer.  I'm really looking forward to those adventures.  I can send you our little travel reports as before if you'd like.
