Which state or groups of states do you think will be the first to want to leave and become a new country?
Minnesota has collected enough signatures to put a secession referendum on the November ballot. Voters will be asked to decide if they want Wisconsin to leave.
No the federal government has it grips in pretty tight monetarily. But IF I had to venture a guess I would say Texas.
Still pushing for the California Republic :)
There is a fundamental difference between the UK and US states.
The UK is an actual nation-state, with sovereignty over its territory, armed forces to ensure that sovereignty, etc.
US states do NOT have sovereignty over their territories, nor do they possess the necessary armed forces to assert sovereignty (AR-15 wielding yahoos in Dodge Durangos notwithstanding).
The only way a US state (or group of states) could leave the United States is if the US government opted to let the state(s) secede. Any such new nation-state would be in a FAR worse position than the UK is with Brexit. The UK, already being a nation-state, has the necessary infrastructure to continue to be one. Any new US-seceded nation-state would have to develop all of that infrastructure from scratch.
U sex what now?
You need to go to your favorite place, Adult Mug, to answer that one.
I don't think so. Lol:)
71 people already signed the petition, just 365809 more signatures to go to get that on the ballot!
That's four votes for Texas! Texas, you have been voted off the island. Do you have anything to say for yourself?
