Only to not give away how happy I was about something and not have others spoil it, intentionally or non intentionally. There are those who can F up a wet dream.

Yes, I can do drama when I want to make a point...last time I did that however, it was not sadness it was more anger/outrage...
I was at the hotel last month, and the clerk came to my door quite rudely, her mistake. Because then I went down into the lobby (where as many people as possible could hear) and exclaimed in umbrage, "Is this how you treat old people?"
Then when they opened their computers for my room rental, I went and sat down. "Please come and finish your transaction." "Okay, I'm coming." (Continued to sit there.) Repeated their demand several times, "Come here, finish this." "I am coming, but now I have to rest a bit, I have stress-related illness." (I was lying.)
Finally they sent someone over who was VERY gracious, treated me well, and only then did I allow them to finish my transaction and move on.
* * * I don't know if my drama made any difference for future customers, but I did all I could.
