Birthdays. A day to regret another wasted year or look forward to a better upcoming year?

I like celebrating them. Its a way for me to say, "I'm happy you're alive in my world"

depends on the person, i never seem to enjoy mine since i dont get to spend it with anyone

We usually only fuss with landmark birthdays and even then there's not much fuss. (We had a quiet week at the seaside to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.) We just don't do the celebration thing very well.

It's a little like doing your tax return. Instead of looking back and wondering where all the money went, I look back and wonder where all the time wet.

It depends how old you are. Kids will (or should) be happy, but for older people its just another reminder that they're getting closer to snuffing it.

I always look forward to my birthday because there's usually a parade and fireworks. I was born on July 1st which is Canada's birthday so there are lots of fun activities. Cheers!
