It's difficult to find topics that will interest our people. Well, difficult for me. If I go for the completely crazy they're gonna get treated that way; if I do the mundane they're gonna be ignored. So I try to find a middle road -- and it's a bumpy old road. Some of them really are whacked out.

I was merely making the point that it's difficult to find questions that sufficient people will find interesting enough to read, or even answer. I'm no longer an Asker, or a Blurter. I've assimilated. So our people is US.
And I've even left you the option of arguing that the final verb should be "our" at which point I'd say that it refers to the TERM "our people" and links that term to the object "US". But I could be wrong. :)
