Probably the rest of my life. Nice quiet and safe neighborhood, Reasonable mortgage. No reason to leave unless I or my wife become completely disabled.
Probably the rest of our lives too. True, it is not a nice and safe neighborhood (Mayor of the city a few years ago called it the "gun and knife district") But I do own the house, and get along with the neighbours. Cannot sell the house here and get an equivalent house in a better area without going deeply in debt. With no mortgage, we can do as we please, with no real budget problems.
