  • I have noticed a trend in the work place of adults to call adult coworkers "young man" or "young lady".  This invites a gob clap.  The speaker appears to think it clever and amusing.  It is condescending and vacuous.  I have even encountered, "kiddo".  To adults!  God's wounds!

  • Yes, I you refer to me as "young man".  Do you know the word, "rue"?

And speaking of driving... I was at the Renaissance Faire a few years ago and saw a Scot wearing a steering wheel where his sporran should be.  So I sayth unto him, "Forsooth, painful that doth appear good sir."  Quoth he, "Aye, tis drivin' me nuts."
