  • The money spent on that ointment might have been better used.  Feeding people, given to  poor family, medical needs of some poor person.

    I defer to the explanation provided by Jesus in the following verses. There is no need to ask strangers on the internet to explain things that are adequately explained right there in your own bible.

  • Perhaps one does not accept the Biblical answer as adequate. And it is interesting to see how other look at and think about the same story.

    Wasted on Jesus? No, Judas was a thief who took care of Jesus and the disciple's money. He stole from them, that is why he wanted to sell it so Judas could steal his cut.

    We as Christians can choose to have good things, expensive things and even accept expensive gifts. 

    I would never take Judas's words over Jesus's.
