What do you use olive oyl for?

    About 80% of the oil passing through one Italian port was found to be dyed canola (rapeseed) oil fraudulently labeled. For some reason that was not against the law in that one port. On the strength of that report I have refused to pay the price asked for olive oil.

    Canola is a strain or rapeseed developed specifically so Canada can have some exports. All other strains of rapeseed are toxic to humans.

    We do have companies in the U.S. that make olive oil.  Try California Olive Ranch Olive Oil.  Very flavorful.  Great on salads.

  • I use olive oil to cook just about anything. I'm Italian and grew up with it. I know the right brands to buy and I love it. From eggs to salad, it has olive oil on it or in it!
    The Olive Oyl in your picture is a might too skinny for my taste! LOL

  • I make my own salad dressings, soups and hummus.  These require olive oil.  Also for sauté and browning fish.

    I use her for a back scratcher.  Not much else she's good for.  I gotta put tape over her mouth when I do that though.  Can't stand that nagging shrill voice of hers.  What Popeye & Bluto saw in her, I'll never understand.  Eh, but to each his own I guess.
