If you could own your own beach, a ski lodge, or a golf club,

which would you choose? What other venue would you prefer to own?

  • There's a lot of activity around that beach. *We'll see if we can get it closed after dark for you but it'll only encourage people to break in.)

  • Beach, no. Sand gets in unpleasant places.  Ski lodge, no. Hate the cold.  Golf course, yes. Then turn it into a public park.

  • Is there anything you like about life?  Or is it all just TV and Doritos?

  • I'm about 22 years without TV.  Doritos? No.  Difficult to see the reason of this response.

  • Maybe we could build a ski lodge on the beach for you. You could go water skiing.

  • Oh...you and Mrs. D will take a vacation?
That will be bittersweet...your first one in a while, staying home with little Zoë...

  • We're only going for a few days. It's a kind of birthday thing. I don't usually fuss about them but I've actually written a blog about butterflies that I'll post next Thursday. Rain is forecast every day next week but that's never stopped us enjoying ourselves. We'll have a decent holiday in late spring or early summer.

And you're right. Zoe hasn't been well enough to leave at a kennel for the past three years so we haven't been away in that time. She was worth it.

I wish you a wonderful excursion.

  • Thanks, Virginia. I must be looking my age. Two people stood aside for me today and let me take first place on a queue. It's nice, and I appreciate it, but geeze...

Private beach with someone special. Clothing accordingly to main room... just for photo though. A full tan is so lovely. Ahem.
