I certainly get some quotes from TV but not so much questions. Occasionally, maybe.
We were talking about Occham's Razor last week and in an episode of New Tricks somebody mentioned Hanlon's Razor, which says, "Never attribute to malice anything which is adequately explained by stupidity." That certainly got an airing.
And I once quoted Tony Di Nozzo of NCIS who stated that a turkey vulture is twenty years past a cougar. It still likes to hunt but is too old to bring down the prey.
Didge, NCIS is still one of my favorite shows. We have it on from time to time in the background when Don is working and I am playing here on answerMug. I'm glad you get it down there. Knowing the Tony character, do you think he was referring to the cat or the slang term for older women chasing younger men? The turkey vulture is native to California, along with both types of cougars. It's a win/win for Tony! ;)
Absolutely Randy D! Right now NASA's Unexplained Files are on. It's fun to get answers, suggestions, theories, and or ideas your friends have about subjects that interest you. It is as if you are including them in a conversation they aren't actually sitting in on but are there. Goodness, I hope that made sense. It was rather long but you get the idea.
Good Morning Rooster~ So true about you! You are an avid reader. It is wonderful you still read. Many people these days won't take the time to turn off the TV and sit down to a good book. I am guilty. It is easier sometimes to zone on the TV than to read a book and let my imagination create the characters in how I perceive them. It is cool you still practice the art of reading. Have a great day! Love, Merlin
Good morning Merlin. I love to read when I'm not working. Besides, all I usually watch on TV is old movies. None of today's stuff does much for me. Raining up here so it's an inside day. Hope your day is even better. :)
I was going to ask you about your weather :) I'm glad you said something! I talked to my mom yesterday and she said it was threatening to rain. It is foggy right now and probably won't break the mid-seventies by the afternoon. Foggy at the coast. I have to work at 11 until about 9 so, it won't matter much. I can't believe I am going to say this; but, I've come to love rainy days. We need it so badly and it does make for a lazy, reading sort of day. It's the perfect weather to bake bread.... or read. I'll be making dog food which is good to do today too! Lots of hugs and warm thoughts for your day. Enjoy your book :) :)
