What if it's someone sacrificing themselves for the survival of others. They don't survive as long as those they are protecting, but they are doing the brave thing. Survival matters, even if it's the survival of others.
Thank you for your reply Patch and Happy Sunday. There is nothing braver than to give your life to save another. It's true. Nothing can happen for you if you don't survive. The question is how far are you willing to go to survive? Where do you draw the line or is there none? Inquiring minds would like to know! :)
It's a "group survival" versus "personal survival" thing. Personal survival is a very primitive emotion, most vertebrates have evolved beyond it and will act to save the group. Not doing so is cowardly.
