I trust an enemy to act against my best interest. They don't always but then that signals a trap. This post was edited by O-uknow at May 4, 2017 9:00 AM MDT

Exactly O! Otherwise the person would not be your enemy. Would you willingly give such a person access to y you? Why? Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday! :)

No, I am not willing to. I must add you can have a common interest with an enemy and work towards the same goal but I suggest do so independently and keep your enemies afar. Knowing what they are up to is not bedding them but being aware of suspicious movements and not dismissing them. Keep in mind they don't have your best interest even when interests are the same. Sometimes you must work with them. In that case expect treachery and be on guard for a knife in the back. An enemy will pretend to be your friend just for that purpose. I am too trusting, I forgive too easily, I forget that someone has behaved without honour and decency... and I try to get on with them... it's almost always a mistake.

Don't hold your breath Addb. I'm 79 and I still get hurt. I still don't see things coming. I'm still shocked/surprised/flummoxed. I think as I get older it just hurts less or my skin is thicker or my emotions dulled. It matters not. We are whom we are and that's the name of that tune! So to speak! Thank you for your reply m'dear. I am too trusting as well but I NEVER FORGIVE. So there's where I have the advantage over you. I figure if  they do it to me once the second time will be easier. They don't get a second crack at me. This post was edited by RosieG at May 4, 2017 11:22 AM MDT

Precisely! Which agenda would not be in your best interests. So you would not keep him "closer" to give him easier access to you. Why would anyone do such a thing as that? Makes no sense to me. Thank you for your reply tj! :) This post was edited by RosieG at May 4, 2017 9:07 AM MDT

If you do that what guarantee is there that your enemies won't  destroy you? All they need is access Rooster. Why would you willingly give them that? Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday! :)

How do you KNOW they won't lie to you  Rooster? Why would you think an enemy would tip his/her hand?  I'd stay as far away as I could. I'm not trusting at all of anyone who wants harm to come to me. Thank you for your reply! :)

I salute you m'dear. I get fooled far too often  Rooster.   I admire your ability to do what you do to protect yourself. Thank you for the additional info. Very helpful! :)
