Could the Australian Prime Minister bring Trump down?

There's fear and Trumbling in New York! (His name is Turnbull but he's such a complete nonentity that the US got his name wrong.)

Prime Minister Turnbull is about to meet with President Trump - and carrying a golf ball caddy as a gift for the POTUS.
If Trump accepts, that's an emolument BY DEFINITION - and grounds for impeachment (as if any more were needed).

  • Not entirely true.   A President may accept any gift if given on the basis of personal friendship and may accept gifts from foreign dignitaries or interest groups if it is approved by congress. The gift and it's value must be addressed and put on public notice.
