It'd probably be bad for you if you were wheat intolerant ... but failing that I don't think there's anything like too much.. i love pasta and not even Italian.. TO be fair they are generally a pretty healthy, lively bunch on their pasta based diet.. so we could all do a lot worse..
There are gluten-free pastas available, my wife is intolerant. "Glass noodles" made from rice, or maize-based. Then there's gnocchi, made from potatoes.
Not if you continually poke it with a fork so all the calories can leak out. A toothpick works better however, that is why Horderves/Appetizers are served with them.
