Does it make you weepy for ages after you have just seen a film and cried? LOL I cry at almost every film ever made..

I even cried at Hotel Transylvania!!! Today it was Mamma Mia.. lol I always cry at the happy bits and the soppy bits.. I am a hopeless romantic :P  But I do find that I feel a bit weepy for quite a while afterwards!  

So am I the only one?

    Not seen that one but here's the betting I would!! Seriously I once met a guy and we would do dinner and movie now and then as just friends - I told him that I cry at almost every movie ever made.. I also said I like any film except war films.. so... he takes me to a war movie... I cried! Next one was another war movie.. I cried.. the next was an action/hunt them down movie - taken3 I think it was, I cried.. then he took me to a comedy...and... well you guessed it...

    Did Mel Brooks ever do a movie that wasn't hilarious? Personally I preferred The History Of The World but Blazing Saddles was also brilliant. I doubt he'd have gotten away with it today, the PC police would crucify him.

  • One of the few films I recall this happening to me is, "Ladies From Hell".  It is about the Highland regiments in WWI.  There are real footage scenes of the aftermath of battles.  I realized all those men were really dead.  They were not going to get up after the filming, wipe off the fake blood and gore then have lunch.  The amount of death staggers the mind!  The same with concentration camp footage which followed soon after.

    The only movie that has ever come close to making me cry was Red Dog. I did choke up. If you're the kind of person that cries easily at movies, you had better keep a jumbo size roll of TP handy, a big box of Kleenex won't cut it.

    I still remember how I felt immediately after watching
    "Ordinary People."
    I may not have cried but I felt shell-shocked (not that I really know what it would really feel like to be shell-shocked, I guess)
    I left my friends in the theater after the ending credits started and didn't much care if we all met back up.
    We did, though.
    They said I looked pale.

    I Loved "Coal Miner's Daughter".  That is another favorite of mine.  Sissy Spacek was amazing!!

    It's a stunning movie for me. Once was enough for me, though.

    "Ordinary People" is probably my all time favorite tear jerker and one of the best movies I have seen.  So many parts of that movie hit close to home for me.  The performances of all those characters were so good.  

    The music alone is enough to get me.

    The movie "Hatchi, a Dog's Tale" made me cry buckets.  It made my husband cry too though, so I felt a little better.



    Yeh, I cry easy with certain movies and then think about them for a day or two afterwards.

    PLOT SPOILER!!! DIRTY DOZEN!!
    I did get sad when I saw Dirty Dozen as a young teenager with a crush on Brown and his character dies at the end.
