It matters to me greatly - a LOT of what I am about is sticking up for those who either don't, won't or can't stick up for themselves.. I cannot bear to see people mistreated.. this is so much in the very core of who and how I am..

I am often to be seen wading in to tell someone off for mistreating others.. the funny thing is often its me who ends up in trouble/blamed/castigated and rarely is the person I have stuck up for appreciative.. but I won't change.. I have THE most strong moral compass when it comes to injustice and treating people fairly.. (lol Trump supporters excepted :P)

A story... I loved my last job.. the people there are like family.. and there was a long time when I would have paid to work there.. . but I actually left my job because of the chef.. he was a bully, nasty and lazy as heck...he treated people so badly you wouldn't believe...and of course he tried to bully me too.. it NEVER worked, I stand up to bullies.. always.. so he wasn't *fond* of me for that reason...but the main reason I left was because he was always making people cry.. and  I hated being in that environment... so I wrote a letter of complaint, threatened constructive dismissal.. got paid some money and got the heck out of there... After I left lots of others followed...

((hugs)) I KNEW you would respond this way. I think that is one of the great divides among people Addb. Those who care about others and those who don't give a rat's a **.  Not much of a middle there. Thank you for your thoughtful reply and for sharing that real-life experience.  I've apologized to cashiers or store employees for the behavior of rude customers. I have never taken the rude person on though. I think you're braver than I am. I wait till they leave. They seem out of control and I wouldn't put it past them to deck me. Some people are so belligerant and filled with hate. That's how I react when I'm among strangers. At work or someplace with which I'm familiar I do open my mouth and say what I think and I have no problem accepting the consequences!  :)
