I don't drink, but sometimes it is good to be friends with an enemy. Example; back in the 1800's, America was in a terrible famine, mostly the pioneers living on the Great Plains. They grew white wheat to make bread, but the crops kept failing. People were dying a slow starvation death. Then an American farmer, name unknown, was on vacation in Russia, and discovered the Russians were growing a red wheat (winter wheat) that was very hardy and kept the Ruskies fed with bread. The vacationing farmer introduced the Russian red wheat to America and basically saved the lives of the Plainsmen. (Canada also claims this story for Canadians)
