Hot and sticky here today.. .is it true that Brit's always talk about the weather?

Really sticky and almost too hot to do anything..I was reminded of this song.. that goes, 'Well it's a hot one... '  so I thought I would share the song :)

Well, everyone does.  It is an excellent icebreaker and something we all have in common, experiencing it.   No one gets in heated arguments about the weather.  It is a bland and safe place to go when things need to just stay calm and pleasant.

My daddy used to put my 10 year old self out in the cornfield with a hoe during July.  Now THAT is hot. (and nothing to drink)

It's a well known sterotype that we always talk about the weather :)

Hi Shar~ Who is that is your picture???????  Man, you've had some great ones but this one leaves little to be desired.  At least from this the angle the picture was taken!
Yes.  I talk about the weather too!

Everyone talks weather...  "Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines."

Probably no more so than in other countries with very variable weather. The most popular topics of conversation among Britons now seem to be traffic-jams and computer problems - and at least you cannot hear a misplaced apostrophe in speech!
