    I am afraid not.. mainly cos China were in denial for a long time.. they were one of the worse polluters in their rush to become a wealthy nation.   SO it took them  a long time to accept it and then knuckle down and start cleaning up their act... 

    However, it is true to say that CHina are enjoying their new-found status as leaders of the world in tackling climate change. I am sure it will help them consolidate their influence around the world.  

    If they could have invented it I am sure they would but on this one all they did was cash in on others who were more hesitant/
