I just read this in the ToS:

You agree that you will not post, email or make available any content or use this Network:

Post irrelevant content, repeatedly post the same or similar content or otherwise impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Network's infrastructure;

Isn't it great to know that no one actually does this? No one posts the same content over and over and over, which goes against ToS....

    I brought this up before Karen.  I was basically told that no one was in conflict with that section of the TOS and that the subject poster's content encouraged discussion.

    TOS---Post irrelevant content, repeatedly post the same or similar content or otherwise impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Network's infrastructure

    I do not see this as a specific guideline to be followed by members---although we are subject to its interpretation by those who enforce it.

    I see it as this site's reserving its right to maintain control over the actions of members relating to questions and / postings that fall beyond the comfort level (---probably beyond 3 standard deviations) of management and its representatives.

    Sort of like the reserved powers in the Constitution---Powers not specifically granted to the national (federal) government belong to the states.

  • Took me a while o figure it out too. You have to embed the address in order for it to work.

  • I stepped down over a year ago. Sometimes I do miss or,  but now very often.  It just takes one member for me to realize that I made the right choice.  :)

  • good for you. we all miss mostly miserable things that had good elements from time to time. it's good to get reminders of why we've moved on, and it's good to be grateful for them as well.

    I would call that going on.   Otherwise it seems a bit morbid.

    No onr violates this part of the TOS either:

    to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of this Network or prevent others from using this Network, or in a manner that disrupts the normal flow of dialogue with an excessive number of messages (flooding attack) to this Network, or that otherwise negatively affects other persons' ability to use this Network;

    Yes, it's great isn't it that people are free to post questions that they feel are appropriate and interesting.. I am so glad that there isn't victimisation and personal attacks on individual members just because they happen to post questions that aren't to everyone's liking. It would be horribly wrong, wouldn't it.

  • It's not the subject matter, I could care less about that. It's the spamming of the site with the same questions asked all the time. As far as being attacked, they do that to people who have a different point of view, or who don't answer exactly they way they want them to.

    Fair enough... I'd kinda forgotten this question.. I think i was being deliberately general on my answer.  Mostly, sorta, kinda this is probably one of the better sites as far as that goes - I can't really remember what was on my mind back when I answered that.. we move on and we evolve.. so really at this moment in time, I think generally speaking this site does allow most of us to speak our mind most of the time - sorta, kinda

    I recognize a few of them from other sites...same game different place. they just want to shove their opinion down your throat...that's why its so repetitious.
