Would you be bored if you didn't have to work? When I was a kid we were told we would all have to get used to increased leisure time...

But that never happened... Do you feel it's a good thing or not? Would we all be bored, would crime rate increase? What would you do more of or less of?
Personally even though I have a very cool job, I still think I spend way too much time and energy on it and this is to the detriment of my house, garden, family and personal life.. so seriously I would find loads to do!

I've been retired for almost 2 years now, and I still can't find the time to do everything I'm still interested in doing.....

That's exactly how it should be I think.. Retirement should be a time when you get to do at least some of the things you want to :)

Yes.  I often joke that if I died today, the undertaker would charge extra to take the smile off my face as a result of being retired.

  • I've been retired almost 10 years now and I never get bored. Always something that has to get done! Plus my part time work for Slitherine makes for a pretty relaxed life.

I love to be busy, I love to achieve, I love to overcome obstacles.

That takes work.  Not to be confused with what passes for jobs these days.  Most people feel, underappreciated, supressed, underpaid and overworked.  That is not work.  That is indentured slavery.

    It is a fine line.
