You're looking at international relations in a very very simplistic way.
The world isn't black and white; enemies and allies . Most nation states are not independent entities anymore and nation states are not where the real power is anymore. Most of the world has been taken over by a mega corporate cartel and democracy is only kept in place to give us the illusion we are still free.
Western nations are allies in the sense that the people of those nations broadly share similar values. Though it's like the world has cancer that is metastasizing. The enemy is within not without. It's spreading and it's impossible to cut it out without harming healthy tissue.
Being allies is a mutually beneficial relationship between independent entities. What exists today is globalism, not alliance.
