That reminds me of a Lily Tomlin/"Edith Ann" line -- I think Edith Ann was referring to the televised Watergate proceedings but I don't know for sure; the album was recorded in the 1970's I believe --
"I wrote the President and told him I don't like his TV show."

I'm already in my early 70's, was forced to give up popcorn on may 19th two years ago and there is no gate that will allow anyone to get near me but my baby.
It wasn't the bugging of the DNC at the Watergate that got Nixon booted, it was his obstruction of the investigation. Trump wasn't even implicated in the Flynn/Russia business, but it did make his campaign look tainted so he leaned on the FBI director to drop it, then fired him when he refused - as well as firing the acting AG (which Nixon didn't do, Richardson resigned). That's obstruction in the raw, a blatant abuse of power, so will somebody PLEASE impeach the ba$tard already so we can forget him and move on?
