What's the best response to "Why did you apply for this job?"

just say cause i think i'll be the best person for this job

I heard there is a lot of cool stuff to steal at an electronics shop.

I sounds like a good fit and may be beneficial to both the company and me.

I have the desired qualification and the right experience, I'm sure I can do the job to the best of my ability!

"Wait, this is a job?  An actual job?  I thought I applied for your company to give me lots of money with no effort required on my part!  I am SO out of here . . . "

This insipid question is a favorite of bored managers doing interviews. The question is to hear how creatively the applicant can lie. The truthful answer is, "I need a job."  The proper answer is something like, "I shop here often and think it would be an exciting, fun place to work!"
