I prefer not pretending that those are the only two choices available in life.

I also prefer not pretending that everything that's important to me SHOULD be equally important to every other person on the planet.  That seems narcissistic and short-sighted to me.

Uh, Randall?  She did not SAY that those are the only two options.  She SAID, 'which do you prefer'.   Please answer responsibly.

    Your best friend.

    Uh, Sharonie,
I did not say that she said that those were the only two options*, I merely said what I preferred.

*Although, based on her modus operandi whenever she posts questions, it's inferred that that's what she meant.

There are some things that I would be happier not knowing about and there are other things where it benefits me to know as much as possible. I am smart enough not to confuse the two. Life is not black and white.

    Janie,

Of COURSE life is not black or white any more.  It is black and orange.  Happy Halloweenie.
