You're never lonely with a good dog by your side - yes?

I think we are going to get a dawg... My daughter has been on and on about getting another dog for years.. so even though you shouldnt get dogs for CHristmas presents etc... I have decided she can have one for her 16th birthday.... the dawg we want isn't born yet, we don't even know if the mummy dawg is pregnant... but I am hopeful :)

Missed having a dawg around... heaven only knows what the felines will think of it!!

Sounds great! Be tough to find a more faithful, loving companion.

    It depends on why.

Please get a dog.  They need good masters and I know you would be a good one.  Get 2 dogs. Get 2 rescue dogs.  (Ignore me) This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at July 4, 2017 1:20 PM MDT

This movie always puzzled me. Is it about The Lone Ranger OR Tonto?

I always love your posts... I cannot have 2 dogs because I have already 6 cats, a million indoor fish, loads of outdoor fish, snails, a hamster, and son who lives her has a lizard, an axolotl, loads of fish and now he has just made an aviary... Oh and I forgot the guinea pigs :P

A rescue I'd definitely consider... and I always have at least one rescue cat at a time, but I do have to be very careful re temperament with the cats... mine are excessively stupid and trusting.

Well I always love your answers and your questions so that is great that you like me.  You have a lot of animals.  I love all those animals.   I just have the birds right now, but if I know I can handle it, I will get more pets.   Right now, one roommate and 6 birds are a new life.

Better than no animals and one very ill mom.

Definitely get a rescue dog. I think just about every breed has a rescue organization, if you're wanting a specific breed.

True enough... and we did try that route once.. perhaps it's our own fault but our chosen breed is one where you have to be so careful re temperament... we love Rottweilers... and last time we tried a rescue... it bit the vet and we had to take it back... at the time daughter was only 2 so we couldn't take a chance.. I am definitely pro rescue generally speaking but would have to be when i have less cats and daughter has left home I think
