He must be a very interesting guy Ele! Lotsa stories to tell. Did he share any of them with you? He should write a book about his adventures/experiences. Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday m'dear! :)
Geez Shar! You are still here? Maybe I've seen too many movies about what can happen to hitchhikers but I'd never have the nerve/courage to do that. Never ever! There's something romantic about riding the rails to me though. Going to strange/new places. Never knowing what you'll find or whom you will encounter. Wanderlust acted upon. Thank you for your reply and the graphic! LOVE IT! : )I can hear the train whistle in the distance! Can you?
The California Coast is beautiful. So are the Rocky Mountains in Colorado! There are so many scenic routes in the US you could take. The east coast in the Autumn? Spectacular! Maybe if you Google it? Thank you for your reply Star and Happy Wednesday! :)
The legendary 'Steamtrain Murray' (I forgot the rest of his name) was voted 'King of the Hobos' by his peers. The local newspaper did an interview with him while he was working on a construction crew. He was a skilled mason, but continued to be a hobo until he died.
I never heard of him bh but I will Google him. Sounds like a really fascinating person. He had a skill but still chose to live that life! Amazing. Thank you for your reply m'dear! :)
