How much construction is going on in your area right now?

There is so much going on here that you can hardly see the skyline for the cranes.

Directly around my immediate area, none, but there's a particular part of town that my wife likes to visit that has seemingly been under continuous street construction, road closures, detours, underground cable installation, sidewalk renovations, etc, for almost six months. Traffic is always a nightmare in that section, and no end appears to be in sight.

  • Sounds like any street here. We have a LOT of building construction going on here. I hate that they are ruining my city.

We are the orange barrel/cone capital of the Universe. Mostly road destruction. The construction doesn't start until school starts back up.

In NY, you'd be hard-pressed to find a road, highway, avenue, boulevard, street that wasn't under construction.

  • There's a lot. Seems like they're always building new housing here.

too much sometimes, about 15 months ago they decided to tear down the library to make room for this motel theyre going to use for a conference center, thats all ive been hearing for over a yr, the constant beep beep beep, demolition, you name it, i flunked out of school cause i couldnt study with all their racket and lost my college grants thanks to all their noise, i cant hear the birds anymore, they probably scared them away, i cant sleep in the morning anymore thanks to them, i cant wait till theyre done, theyre supposed to be done by sept, if i could move i would but i have low income housing cause of being out of work so i cant just move, cant wait till theyre out of here

There is a good bit. Developers are trying very hard but the county is resisting so far, limiting it to small projects. People here learned the hard way about rapid growth.
