    I thought you needed claws for that.. or long fingernails maybe.

    Fingernails are also a useful place to apply fingernail paint.  I forgot that.

    This is creepy---- my late older sister had 'dog claws' on her toes.  They were weird, just like a dog's claws! I guess they are evolutionary remnants from long ago in human history.

    My fingernails have sharp edges. I accidentally claw myself all the time. I can probably defend myself with them if I swipe 'em the right way, I've never been in a situation that requires clawing someone though..
