Yes I get rude occasionally right here on the mug.  Especially when people take cheap shots at certain conservative people. However, there are two sides to every coin.

Then you don't respect them. Correct? Because difference of opinion is not a valid reason to be disrespectful unless you DEMAND that everyone agree with you bh. Do you? If so, why do you expect that? Your tastes in food, clothing, autos, literature, music are yours. Do you DEMAND others agree with those too and if they don't you are disrespectful? Thank you for your reply.

I tend to say what I think.. and think what I say... so if I have said something there is usually good reason and it was deserved.... I would apologise if what I said was incorrect, or if I had misunderstood... but otherwise no.. I speak as I find.

I think ANYONE can say what he/she thinks in a civil way. I don't expect everyone to agree with me. I don't agree with everyone. But we ought to be able to discuss those disagreements without making personal attacks. Anyone who engages in that does it on his/her own. I avoid such folks completely. They are all timewasters. Now a civil conversation between people who disagree is fine with me. Anyone can do it who wishes to actually communicate with others. Those who only want to attack/insult? Let them chat with one another. I'm gone! Thank you for your reply Addb and Happy Sunday to thee! :) This post was edited by RosieG at July 24, 2017 3:20 AM MDT

I think we are in agreement here? I almost always remain articulate and explain why I am not happy and as for explanations.. I am always willing to learn..  many a time I have revised what I think or feel in the light of a discussion that makes sense..

So I say what I think.. but I almost never resort to personal attacks or swearing at someone .. so we are birds of a feather... and  I believe we have disagreed a fair few times and always been able to explain and clarify.

Actually Addb not only here do we agree but mostly we agree. Maybe 95% of the time? I'm not sure but we rarely are on dufferent pages or in different ballparks.  When we are it's fine and dandy . When we aren't it's fine and dandy. Civility isn't that difficult to maintain. All you need is the desire. Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday! :)

  • I've told someone I respect, the simple truth and they thought it was rude. If I'm right, why apologize. An apology might be in order if I had lost my temper or punched them out or if I had violated the law or committed some terrible faux pas.
