Thanks, I guess it depends what you relate to. When I saw that movie I was dealing with losing people and I had a job doing maintenance and my life reminded me of the lead characters and I thought Michelle Williams was great in that movie and she reminded me a little of my ex. Every once in a while a movie comes along and you just feel like it's about you, Manchester by the sea was one of those moments for me.
I tend to like most films... I did go see the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie with my son and daughter.. that was quite good considering that I wasn't really into the first one.
You mean like at the movie theatre? I haven't really seen any good ones lately, I usually only go when my sister or dad drag me to see movies I don't care for.
Well I watched The Omega Man the other night. That one has always been a favorite of mine. I think it's a great movie, but I don't know what other people would think.
I don't speak the language of Korea so I watched with English subtitles. Subtitles can bother some people but they've never bothered me.
The movie went to unexpected places and the cast is wonderful. I like when I can't even give a "genre" to a movie - - I most remember being uncomfortable and "creeped out" but it was all so good. The DVD case says "independent thriller." I'll go with that. I'm thinking of watching it again now! :)
I actually enjoy subtitles because I feel like then I'm sure to catch everything! I just read a little short description of it and it sounds fascinating. I like being thoroughly weirded out during/after a film, so that's a good thing!
I bet you may enjoy this one! Going into it for just wanting to see Arno Frisch (he changes looks so much from movie to movie -- I think that's him in this image I posted) and to then be so thrilled with all aspects of the movie -- that was great for me. Arno Frisch (and I've only seen him in maybe three films or so) seems to have a good sense for good movies to be in -- I've liked every movie I've seen him in.
The last really good movie I saw in theaters was actually The Revenant, which I found to be amazing though I don't think everyone else agrees with me. But it was breathtaking cinematography, at the very least. Not to mention the story.
Outside the theaters... I watched a Children of God documentary >.< Horrifying.
I believe it's just called that... On Netflix. The documentary itself could've been better but wow, the stories that come out of that cult following are just nuts.
