    Not a matter of chicken. I've never trusted the safety of rides at the fair.

    You think correctly. Even as a kid, my parents would never let me ride them.  Too much room for error in terms of maintenance and the constant setting up and tearing down at each location.

    Fair rides are lame. Try Cedar Point near Sandusky, Ohio. It is ranked #1 in the world for it's rides.

    Yes.  I don't like rides that are permanent and regularly maintained, much less those that can be set up in a couple of hours and are anchored on a truck.  No fair rides for me.
