Do you believe in reincarnation?

What do you think you were in a past life?

I'm not really sure... i keep an open mind.. I will often jokingly say, 'I must have been wicked in a past life...' to explain some perceived pain or punishment in this..but that's all done very lightheartedly. I can't say what I may have been in the past... but I'd love to come back as a feline.. they are always beautiful and immaculate and, in my house, they get treated like queens and kings.

  • At one time having associated with ISKCON, yes.  Now I reject it as specious and provisionally hold there is neither a soul or afterlife, death is extinction.

Of course.  Everything comes round again.  Until you get it.  Then you are done and with God.

The natural habits of a new-born soul

    From the Bhagavad Gita

It (the self) is not born, and It does not die; nor is it ever that this One having been nonexistent becomes existent again. This One is birthless, eternal, undecaying, ancient; It is not killed when the body is killed.
    - Gita Ch. 2 Verse 20

Of the unreal there is no being; the real has no nonexistence. The nature of both of them, indeed, has been realised by the seers of Truth.
    -Gita Ch. 2, Shloka 16

As after rejecting (discarding) wornout clothes a man takes up other new ones (clothes), likewise after rejecting wornout bodies the embodied one (soul) duly attains new ones.
    -Gita Ch.2 Verse 22

Since death of anyone born is certain, and of the dead (re-)birth is a certainty, therefore you ought not to grieve over an inevitable fact.
    Gita Ch. 2 Verse 27

  • Verse citing, from an source, is not evidence.  The Gita may well be wrong.

  • No, I do not believe in reincarnation. There is no convincing evidence that it exists. It is merely one form of a Security Belief, and beliefs have no supporting evidence.

There is plenty of evidence.  Try reading a book or two once in awhile.

  • I read much, and the most rational books I read show there is no objective evidence for reincarnation that scientists accept. You are reading the wrong books. You evidently read only frauds' childish hoaxes and mindlessly believe them. True research involves reading about all viewpoints in any controversy and comparing them as objectively and rationally as possible. I have read books that claim reincarnation exists, and I have read books that assert it does not exist. My conclusion from looking at all sides is that there is no objective evidence to indicate that reincarnation exists. You need to try reading more broadly and objectively. If there is indeed "plenty of evidence" as you assert, why do scientists accept none of it? They seek genuine evidence, and there is none for reincarnation.

I think reincarnation is a possibility.  After this body dies then I become available again to inhabit a body. Supposing the world is short by a bedbug -or any sort of species actually- I could be reborn as a bedbug.

I believe your soul goes on and your body goes back to the earth.  For that I am glad.  It's the least we could do is give our bodies back to her after she supported them here for us to travel around in.
I'm not sure if all souls come back to earth.  I think some do and some go on and have other adventures.

What I do know is this soul is off to work!  I hope all of you have a great day!  See you soon :) :)
