    Just do as i do and keep your hat with you at all times, that way all you have to do before you leave is make sure you have your wallet and keys. ;+

    I don't leave routinely like I did when I worked away from home, but for the many years that I did.  the last thing was glancing to be sure the coffee maker was off and the HVAC was off.
