There was always a kid in school that almost no one liked and almost everyone made fun of because the kid was odd. Is the US that kid now?.

What country is odder than the United States currently? Oh. North Korea? Crazy leader who threatens folks without thinking of the consequences North Korea? Pot calls kettle black? To what end, for what purpose? The Trump and the Jung-un. Two peas in a pod. One old guy and one relatively young. Speak different languages using words that mean the same dam* thing.

Hmm being honest the US is seen as a joke in recent years.. People make fun of the people assuming all Americans are stupid..that is NOT so as we know.. but voting in an utter imbecile who can barely string a sentence together sure isn't helping things :( As to odd.. well Russia is even odder than US.. people don't tend to make fun of the Russians though... in fact most people take them quite seriously and imo should!

It's entirely possible that in North Korea Trump has found his match in terms of insane leaders :(

I am glad you find it funny... I do like to make people happy :) I suspect though.. that your laughter here is a little forced... and not altogether nice - I am intuitive that way lol ..

I am surprised you seem not to accept that that IS the view of many/most round the world - he, and by implication those who voted for him are the butt of many a joke along the lines of his being an idiot..
I made no comment about vice prez.. you will note I never do.. people there often mistake my antipathy towards Trump for a political statement.. it isn't .. I couldn't give a toss about republican/democrat.. indeed I am only just beginning to learn what that even means.. I say again, and again.. I hate Trump purely because he IS an utter ass.. he is a complete idiot, barely literate, almost incapable of stringing a sentence together without help, and says the most incomprehensibly stupid things. nonsensical.. I hate him because of HIS words, deeds and actions.. oh and his utter lack of manners or class.. the man's a douche....

SO I have no reason to dislike Pence.. I understand and accept many there don't like him.. I say again I am not political in this.. to me Pence seems sane, intelligent and good or bad at least he doesn't open his mouth and have incomprehensible idiot language come out..

SO me thinks your laughter was a bit hollow there and you may well just have been wrong there :P But hey don't sweat it.. I am used to people coming out with these same old, same old attempts at jibes :P

Interesting that you say "the US has been seen as a joke in recent years". Trump has only been in office for just a tad over 6-months. So if you're trying to put that misperceived "joke" status on the Executive branch of our government you're pointing to past administrations, not the current one.

And it's interesting that you say no one makes fun of the Russians that's probably due to our Constitution, the 1st Amendment. You can say whatever you want in the States (short of vigorously fanning the flames of violence) without fear of governmental retribution.   I don't believe that claim can be made when it comes to those in power in Russia.

Kim Jung-un has been at it for years Addb. Doofus Donny is brand new and very bad at it. I think Kim has the advantage here. Doofus is just a big mouth who says anything at any time without considering the consequences. His entourage spends all its time doing cleanup. I'd laugh too if I were living in a different country.  When I laugh it is very nervous laughter.  Every day I wake up wondering if we are at war because the orange fatman opened his mouth and said the absolute worst thing. It's coming! SIGH. Thank you for your thoughtful reply. America...a real page-turner novel isn't it?  :(

We only have ourselves to blame. The POTUS has shown us that there are flaws in the democratic process and he is exploiting those flaws. We better plug them up before this doofus gets all of us killed.

And how do you think that the current President is going to get all of us killed?

I'm familiar with most of Mr. Clemens writings but again, how do you think our current President is going to get us all killed?

(If you like Clemens you might want to check out a contemporary of his, Ambrose Bierce. And another political pundit from days gone by that I recommend is Will Rogers.)

How can we when his toady lemmings work very hard at cleanup 24/7? No one can control him Zack. A few Republicans are distancing themselves but the orange fat man is determined to bring us to war and so since he is always is used to getting his way guess what? Where are the honorable disciplined adults ? Why aren't impeachment proceedings in the works..bipartisanly? A tragi-comedy which cannot possibly end well. Jacka** in charge at the White House is being enabled by automatons who robotically do his bidding. SIGH. Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday! :)
