"Let Trump be Trump. Let the guy do his job". So say his supporters. That is too indefinite. Who is Trump and what job do you want him to do?

Specifically. Not generically. A list of qualities Trump has that we need to let him be. A list of specific jobs you want him to do to satisfy you. When you say let him be whom he is what choice do we have? He has shown he is incapable of learning or changing. What you see is it. There is nothing else there. No depth. No nuance. No multi-layered anything. No dimensions. When you say to let him do his job of what does that  specifically does  consist? Fuzzy talk is not helpful. Broadbrush broadstroke outline is meaningless. And doesn't letting him do his job involve Congress? Doesn't he need to convince them to let him do his job? He can't sign what isn't there. It needs cooperation of others for him to "do his job". This is not a dictatorship or monarchy. He does not do it all on his own alone though he really thinks he can and should.  Who/what is Trump and the jobs you want done and starting with which one first?

Your question is complex. However, I will comment. I just got the biggest (biggliest) raise of my life at my job and I think all 1500 other employees did too.  I also did well financially during the Reagan Administration.  The Stock Market is doing well with record numbers.  There are 'help wanted 'signs at almost every business I drive past. I guess I mean to say that a Republican Congress and President seems to generate a positive effect on the economy.

The crashes of 1929, 1987 and 2008 all occurred on the Republicans' watch. A Republican Congress and President drives the Boom/Bust cycle, Democrats tend to stabilize it somewhat. The Clinton administration actually managed to balance the books.

  • Unemployment is the lowest in 16 years, Trump just kicked that little North Korean lunatic's bum from here to next week which three previous Presidents failed to do,  Trump has talked two companies out of taking their manufacturing overseas so I agree with you Trump is having a positive effect even though some people will never give him credit.

Yes...that is what got Trump elected. As Bill Clinton said when he defeated Bush..."It's the Economy Stupid" and it is always the economy  that decides elections.

What has he DONE?  He hasn't done a fking thing except cause problems around the USA and globe so far.

    He insulted the United Nations.

    He insulted the Jews.

    He insulted the Muslims.

He fired a lot of people and hired and fired more.

He has tried to destroy Obamacare that covers 25,000 people.

    SO.  WHAT HAS HE DONE?

And of course, he loves the blacks. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at August 19, 2017 7:36 AM MDT

  • He hasn't tried to destroy Obamacare it's on a death spiral, Trump should just let it shrivel up and die.  My premiums skyrocketed under Obamacare, one of my medicines went from $180 a month to $1,000 so I just don't take it.  Obama said we could keep our own doctors, many people couldn't, he said the premiums wouldn't increase, they did.  Many people just pay the fine rather than paying the huge premiums.  I heard Obama say that a 65 year old wouldn't get the same level of care as a 25 year old but all that doesn't matter now since some of the major insurance companies have pulled out since it's too expensive.

How has Trump insulted the Muslims, the Jews?

Seems to me that it has been impossible to prevent Trump from being Trump---which apparently the major reason that he can't do his job.

Bill Moyers, Press Secretary for L B J made the comment a few days ago that Trump doesn't have a soul, he has an "open sore."

    Graphic, but perhaps insightful.

I saw/heard Moyers when he said that. The wound is self-inflicted and Doofus Donny keeps picking at it to make sure it will never heal. That is all he is capable of doing. Sad for us and woe is us. Thank you for your reply tom and Happy Sunday! :)
