Nephelim are usually considered to be mythical, not a real species. The more so as "Angels impregnating human women" is kind of ridiculous. Did nephelim have wings, the way angels are supposed to have? Wings and arms would make them a drastically different species from anything we know.

The word is only used in a few verses. Anybody can read those verses and know exactly as much as anybody else who has read them. The problem is people who refuse to be bound by any such restriction. If they don't know something, they will pretend to know it.
Not sure what you are getting at? Do you think what you said negates the command to preach and prayerfully read the rest of the Bible? Aren't there some things that people need help with? (Acts 17:11) Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thes·sa·lo·niʹca, for they accepted the word with the greatest eagerness of mind, carefully examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. (2 Timothy 3:16) All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, (Acts 10:42) Also, he ordered us to preach to the people and to give a thorough witness that this is the one decreed by God to be judge of the living and the dead. (Acts 8:28-35)
We seem to be talking at cross purposes. The command to preach does not make it ok to preach things a person has made up. My point is that the bible does not clearly explain the topic of nephilim, so anything you hear is made up by some person.
I'm thinking that you don't think that reasoning on the scriptures can help? (Acts 17:2) So according to Paul’s custom he went inside to them, and for three sabbaths he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,
I posted this to another comment: If you want to know what the Bible really says about Nephilim, look up the cited verses in your copy of the Bible from the following Bible dictinary: https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1200003223?q=Nephilim&p=par Nephilim
