What was the last thing you Googled?

For me, it was Shaquille O'Neal.

The names of the characters that Timothy Hutton, Mary Tyler Moore and Donald Sutherland portrayed in "Ordinary People."

(I think it was to help me answer another one of your questions, ha!)

That was a great movie. Have to watch it again one day.

Are you still on the character switch question?   ;-)

That was the question I used it for, yes! But I already posted it. At least, I think I did.
    Ha!

I don't know if I'll watch it again. It sort of overwhelmed me emotionally in not-so-good ways, even though I think it's a great movie, too!

Actually that's one of my favorite questions. Fun, but required some thought.

I agree about "Ordinary People." I'd really have to be in a certain frame of mind to watch it again. Masochistic maybe?   ;-)

The scam that my friend told me about today, apparently it's come over from the US, a company rings you and asked "Can you hear me?" if you say "Yes" then you have just entered into a verbal contact, as the scam is to rework the call in order to make you look liked you've just signed up for something which will cost you a lot of money. If someone rings and asks "Can you hear me?" put the phone down immediately.

I heard about that but a bit differently. Not that you've entered into a verbal contract, but that they capture your "yes" and use it to agree to all sorts of things you never agreed to. So definitely say nothing and put that phone down immediately!

I don't voluntarily use google anything, but the last thing I searched for was a recipe for Italian Cream Cake; I can't find mine.

Uh oh, who forced you to Google? Do I need to come over there and use some ninja moves on them?  ;-)

That cake sounds really good btw.

I use other search engines.  I don't support or use google when I can help it.  They are involved now in many things having to do with technology.

No ninja needed today, but preshate ya. This post was edited by Thriftymaid at August 22, 2017 4:42 PM MDT

  • Modern romance drama movies with high imdb rating.
Can never get tired of them.
    Any suggestions from anyone?

Not the highest imdb ratings but I really liked these. Good casts. Different.

The recent movie "The Big Sick" is also very good.

    This:

"No disrespect, ma'am, but there's a big difference between pushing yourself as hard as you can and just being reckless. And if being reckless is what gets rewarded around here, if that's what it means to be a Wonderbolt, then I don't want any part of it."

At first I thought it was about Cowboys but then I found it on YouTube as a "My little Pony story" about what it means to be a hero :-D

It seems that as comic-readers grow older and less superficial, so must the comics they read.
