Retired now but one job I worked for 8 years as a rail yard switch man paid good but things I didn't like was being on call 24/7 alla time -hard to plan anything.  Was outside work (in Winnipeg) and working a midnight winter time it could be -40° F and even a bit blizzardy as well and deep snow.
When I quit in 1986 I was making about  $16.00/hour.

The yard was never shut down because of snowdrifts covering everything;  extra crews were called to plow the yard.
Gotta keep those trains moving. Sometimes the bearings were froze up and the car wheels wouldn't turn and could cause flat spots on the steel wheels. Had to remove the car because flat spot on the wheel could cause cracks in the rail at high speeds.

I have a variety of several part-time jobs. I enjoy them all. They pay enough for me to be basically OK. Do they "Pay Well?" - - for the jobs, yeah, I guess.
    I sound like I'm hedging, I know.

No.  You are telling what you want to tell.

I understand that you don't want us to know that you are a Paid Escort.  I won't say a word.  Just between me and you.  "kay?

They stuck his head on my body for that cover image.
    Just ask my clientele.

I do the best I can with my jobs.
Whether you've hit the nail on "the head" or not, I'll never tell.

I have had many many opportunities in my life.  I have one now that I am going to devote the rest of my life to.  So, I guess that answers it.  When you do what you love, the money will follow.  But if you do it for money only, you will not really do what you were meant to do.

I was meant to be a healer.  So, I am going to heal as long as I am allowed.   I love health and beauty, so a spa and massage are where I am right now. The sky is the limit.

  • Teaching does not pay very well, but it pays enough. And I enjoy it a lot. I couldn't do anything else.

My job pays well and I enjoy it most of the time.  I make more than twice the median income for a woman where I live but I'm not doing my regular job.  I got hired to drive a milk tanker and driving a truck is what I wanted to do but now that I'm pregnant I'm working in the office as a dispatcher.

I love being a dispatcher but I really don't get along with office culture.  Anyway, I make more money with the employer I have now but it's just not as enjoyable as my first truck driving job which was a small company with one guy in charge. Pretty much there's one guy at the job I have now who's entirely responsible for sucking all the fun out of this job.  I think the guy who makes Dilbert cartoons knows him personally lol.
